Goodness gracious, life comes at you very fast. My second Prince, who is nine years old, has just survived a great battle.
Two months ago, he tried a flip off a four-foot wall and landed on his back. He didn't think much of it, but headaches started to be a daily occurrence. My Queen finally decided to take him to a doctor on a particularly bad day, and they performed a CT scan and found a large subdural hematoma.
We life-flighted from our small town to a large pediatric facility and performed a craneotomy to evacuate the hematoma - the surgery took place yesterday. They kept him in ICU overnight, and now we're back on a regular floor at the hospital while he recovers from his war wounds.

That is so scary! I am glad you found it and got it fixed but what a whirl wind. He will have the coolest scar that he will be so proud of.
What an ordeal. I am so grateful for his sake and your families sake that he survived that battle. He will certainly have a tale to tell. I am sure that your wife is grateful that she listened to the Holy Ghost and took him to the doctor when she did. God bless your family.
Hey I haven't talked to you since I saw you at the hospital. How is Garreth doing now?
Kids are so amazing, they bounce back from serious trauma so quickly. Gareth is doing great. We have to remind him to keep it slow for a while - he feels so much better that he wants to run and jump and do all sorts of boy activities.
